Teachers who receive mentoring in their first three years of teaching have higher rates of recidivism within the profession. Creating a community where “new” teachers can share and receive support beyond their evaluating administrator has proven to be beneficial by increasing the knowledge-base and self-confidence of the teacher and therefore the quality of their instruction in the classroom. Topics include (but are not limited to): Building community, classroom management, classroom equity, trauma-informed practices, cooperative learning, effective questioning and assessment, student engagement, technology, family and community involvement, rigor and inclusivity, project-based learning, and summer learning.  Additional topics can be addressed by request. Individual coaching and feedback included.
